    The M5 Ultra introduces a bold new design, moving away from smooth, rounded lines in favor of sharper, more angular edges. Its build meets our high standards, featuring a machined aluminum frame and glass panels, complemented by a bright 4.7-inch HD touchscreen, a set of hardware buttons for playback control, and our iconic volume wheel, now with added illumination.

    Powered by the Ingenic X2000 platform, the M5 Ultra runs on our latest MTouch system. The customizable main menu provides easy access to all files stored on the MicroSD card, with the built-in Tidal Online Streaming app (available via a firmware update). The device also supports various playback modes, including USB DAC, DLNA, Airplay, and Bluetooth Receiver, now upgraded with a new wireless module for Bluetooth 5.2 support.

    In terms of audio, the M5 Ultra builds on the strengths of the H7 and M9 Plus. It features a balanced amplifier based on the Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 and the flagship AKM AK4499EX DAC paired with the AK4191 modulator, enhanced with the improved I/V conversion stage from the M9 Plus. This combination delivers our signature smooth, slightly warm sound that reaches deep into sub-bass frequencies, enveloping you in a rich soundstage filled with intricate details. With an upgraded amplifier capable of delivering up to 1100 mW @ 32 Ohm, the M5 Ultra ranks as one of our most powerful portable players, standing alongside the flagship M9 Plus.
